This exploratory case study was designed to understand if and how digital technologies can enable a minority group to reflect on their cultural identities and to engage critically and productively with mainstream Cultural Heritage. The research focused on the first generation of Coventry-based Romani migrants, who are situated at a crucial point in their development, under constant pressure to change and adapt in response to various factors and stimuli in the local socio-cultural environment. Data collection and analysis were conceived and organised so as to prioritise the people's own voice, not in isolation from the broader context, but in relation to the local society’s attitudes towards and reactions to the Roma and their heritage.
