The aim of the project is to bring children and young people between the ages of 5 and 18, who have little contact with the museum, in contact with the offers of this public institution. "Museum strengthens" enables local alliances to implement extracurricular education programs. The participants get to know the museum in a small group. The theme is the mammoth and its time. In the first part of the project, knowledge about the mammoth and the prehistory and early history is discovered and learned. The acquired knowledge is summarized in a museum-suitcase (Museumskoffer). With the help of this museum-suitcase the participants guide peers through the museum. In the second part, a museum portrait is created, an exhibition in which the participants can present their experiences and impressions to a broad audience.
