ECHOES is a community-driven, bottom-up action to connect all conservation science activities and stakeholders in Europe. In order to achieve this goal, the work of the ECHOES cluster is articulated in several activities, foremost among which is the creation of an open forum for citizens to discuss problem-solving and presentation of case studies, and the development of tools for citizens to actively monitor the degradation of cultural heritage, for example through a web social platform, in line with the new concept of 'citizen conservation science'.
