This museum has a programme of public engagement addressed to the local population and interested people. Voluneteers are first trained and then offered to participate in a series of activities, such as, restoration workshops, or historical recreation groups. The programme called "apadrina a pieza" offers volunteers the possibility to learn about restoration techinques and to help restoring a piece that they like, present in the Museum, under the supervision of a professional. Another example of participatory activity is "LEGIO I VERNACULA" based on the notion of historical reconstruction, whereby, through re-enactments, people come to knwo about life in different historial periods.
