Story Maps are a powerful platform that integrate spatial thinking with storytelling to present information in a compelling, interactive and easy to understand format. Over the last several years, instructors have experienced the power of using Story Maps in class for assignments. The increased interest in Story Maps provided an opportunity for a number of units across the University of Minnesota to collaborate on creating learning materials that can be used by liberal arts departments and beyond.

The team has applied for and been awarded monetary support through two UMN College of Liberal Arts Academic Innovation Grants. The awards supported the hiring of a Graduate Research Assistant for 2 terms. This portal is a culmination of this work; an access portal to explore, download and apply these teaching materials in the classroom.
